The Idiliq Foundation and the ‘Superheroes Association: a Child a Smile’ initiative, have joined forces once again on a toy collection campaign launched by the New Culture of Development Association.
The president of the Idiliq Foundation, Juan Miguel Marcos, emphasised: “Through the Superheroes Association, we have obtained a good number of Lego toys to donate to the children. We try to collaborate with Nueva Cultura del Desarrollo as much as possible, as we know the good work they do.”
For his part, Spiderman, who attended on behalf of Superheroes, a Child a Smile, explained: “We have donated 60 boxes of Lego so that they can be given to children who need extra help at Christmas. We collaborated with this association last year and whenever we can, we deliver what we have at that time so that children can enjoy Christmas with a new toy.”
The Councillor for Social Services, Hipólito Zapico, expressed his gratitude for this initiative: “This type of collaboration is interesting, and we know of the close relationship between the Idiliq Foundation and the Superheroes Association, who in addition to donating these toys have provided more than 60 kilos of sweets that will sweeten Christmas for these children.”
The families will receive an early visit from Father Christmas on Thursday 22nd December at 17:30 in Las Lagunas. “We are going to have a big children’s Christmas party and while the children are enjoying their activities, they are going to see Father Christmas one by one where they will be given a present,” said Rosa Planelles, Secretary of the Asociación Nueva Cultura del Desarrollo.
