The IDILIQ Foundation’s commitment to researching Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy continues with their sponsorship of the upcoming Padel Charity Tournament at the Club Raquetas de Mijas from April 21st to 23rd. The tournament’s fourth edition will raise funds for scientific and medical research, aiming to develop therapies to treat muscular dystrophies and provide psychosocial activities to improve the lives of those affected and their families.

Juan José Millán, Secretary of the IDILIQ Foundation, expressed gratitude for “giving us the opportunity to help in causes of this type, which are so important and necessary.”

Duchenne Parent Project representative, Sara Montagut, highlighted the importance of research in finding a cure for this neuromuscular disease saying: “This is a degenerative, neuromuscular disease that begins in childhood. All we do is put joy, work, effort, and a grain of sand so that everything that is sent for research is welcome.”

The tournament will feature multiple categories and prizes, including two one-week accommodation vouchers donated by the IDILIQ Foundation.

The Mijas Town Hall’s Sports Department is also providing full support for the tournament, with registrations open through www.padelmanager.com for an entry price ranging between 15 and 20 euros.
