On World Down Syndrome Day, the IDILIQ Foundation in Tenerife once again carried out its traditional fundraising campaign.
The staff at the Tenerife resorts, Ramada Costa Adeje, Wyndham Costa Adeje and Wyndham Golf del Sur, launched numerous activities in which the clients also participated together with the entertainment team, Team Marina. An initiative that has been taking place since 2017 and in which there was no shortage of different games, live music and various raffles where the star prize was a week of accommodation in one of the IDILIQ resorts on the Costa del Sol, Tenerife or Turkey. Likewise, the employees wanted to join the mismatched socks campaign to raise awareness and recognise diversity, and the differences that make us all unique and special.
After the fundraising the IDILIQ Foundation was proud to deliver a cheque valued at 5,000 euros to the Tenerife Association of Trisomic 21 (Down Tenerife). The money raised will go to the Early Care program, a service that cares for children from 0 to 6 years old covering five areas: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, perceptive/cognitive, personal autonomy, communication and language.
For its part, the group has shown its appreciation for the constant support received from the IDILIQ Foundation. Down Tenerife is made up of a group of people with Down syndrome and their families, a qualified team of professionals, collaborating partners and volunteers.
