The Idiliq Foundation has written a cheque for AFA Fuengirola-Mijas Costa valued at 1,100 euros, which will go towards the purchase and renovation of materials for physiotherapy workshops, sport and occupational therapy.
The event was attended by representatives from both collectives, as well as authorities from the Fuengirola and Mijas town halls.
Nuria Martín, the ambassador of the Idiliq Foundation, has shown her gratitude to AFA for the important work that they do, ensuring the welfare of the families and patients experiencing Alzheimer’s. “We will keep supporting and responding to the needs of this association, for as long as we can”.
Furthermore, the president of the collective, Paqui Lebrón, stated that “we saw that this material was necessary, we mentioned it to the Idiliq Foundatiuon, they helped and now it’s a reality”.
The Councillor responsible for the area, from the Mijas city council, Hipólito Zapico, has emphasised that “the Idiliq Foundation sets an example in Mijas, always collaborating in a direct manner by their own initiative, at the request of collectives or, even, collaborating with proposals which we make to them from the Council of Social Inclusion”.
AFA Fuengirola-Mijas Costa has been working in the area since 2003 and currently has 83 patients between the day centre, the workshops and the residence.
