The IDILIQ Foundation are sponsoring the Hospital Cycle Tour for ostomates and their families, which will help us raise awareness and support for this important cause.
On September 26th, starting at 9:00am, cyclists will begin their campaign from the Regional University Hospital of Malaga. After presenting the project to everyone in attendance, they’ll make their way to the Hospital Comarcal de la Axarquía by 12:00pm.
The following day the destination will be the Serranía de Ronda, while on Thursday 28th, the start will be from the local hospital to the Costa del Sol University Hospital. The last route will take place on the 29th of September from the Junta de Distrito to the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria. At each stage Osma will set up information tables and those responsible for each health centre will read a communiqué.
OSMA, a non-profit association formed by ostomates, their families, and collaborators in the province of Malaga, aims to improve the emotional, social, and professional lives of people with an Ostomy. In Spain alone, there are 210,000 ostomates directly impacted, with over one million indirectly involved in their support networks. Every year, approximately 16,000 new cases aris
