The IDILIQ Foundation proudly supported McHappy Day, organised by the Ronald McDonald Children’s Foundation, for another year. This day of solidarity encouraged citizens to contribute to the cause by purchasing the iconic Big Mac at McDonald’s. The proceeds from these purchases helped families stay close to their children who are receiving medical treatment far from home.
The employees of IDILIQ Group, through its Foundation, once again joined forces with the Malaga-based organisation, with whom they have maintained a close relationship for years. “We have placed over 100 orders and are thrilled to know that this money will go towards a fantastic project,” said Juan Miguel Marcos, president of the IDILIQ Foundation.
All the funds raised during McHappy Day will support the maintenance of the 383 Ronald McDonald Houses across 60 countries worldwide. In Spain, there are five houses located in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, and recently, Seville. The Malaga House provides free accommodation to fourteen families with children undergoing medical treatment in nearby hospitals.
Over the past 25 years, more than 15,000 families have benefited from the Ronald McDonald Houses in Spain. Additionally, the Foundation has established four family rooms in hospitals in Madrid, Barcelona, Murcia, and Zaragoza, creating a welcoming and playful environment for children receiving medical care.
