The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) held its first Gala Dinner at Higuerón Resort in Fuengirola, with the proceeds going to the Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena and Torremolinos delegations.

The IDILIQ Foundation were present at this important meeting aimed at helping cancer research, as well as maintaining the programmes and services these associations provide free of charge to patients in Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena and Torremolinos.

The AECC were delighted with the success of the event, which was attended by more than 300 people, and took place on World Cancer Day.

Among those attending the gala were institutional representatives from the three Town Councils, the Malaga Provincial Council, and the Andalusian Regional Government.

The AECC pointed out that this event marked the beginning of a new stage of collaboration between the different centres aimed to optimise resources and seek funds that are then invested in prevention campaigns, workshops and new free support services for patients and their families.
