The event’s official presentation will take place on Sunday 27th October at 11:00 AM at the San Diego Suites within the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol, showcasing the collaboration between the IDILIQ Foundation and the Mijas Town Hall.

Notable attendees at the presentation will include Mari Francis Alarcón, Councillor for Sports, and Juan Miguel Marcos, President of the IDILIQ Foundation, along with volunteers from Mijas and AECC representatives. Juan Miguel Marcos says: “Reviving our popular Smile Mile in light of our Foundation’s 25th anniversary underscores our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles. This event is a celebration of family and social responsibility, with all proceeds benefiting the AECC.”

This edition is also part of the foundation’s annual campaign against breast cancer, actively supported every October by the company’s volunteers and employees.

Reflecting on the success of the last Smile Mile in 2010, Marcos expressed hope for similar enthusiasm this year. He encouraged participation, noting the support from Civil Protection, Vithas, Ambulancias Andalucía, Los Malagueños, and IES Ana Carmona ‘Veleta’. After the walk, the festivities will continue with an awards ceremony for the youngest and oldest participants, as well as the most creative costume. The resort will also host entertainment, food and drink, and a vibrant market featuring AECC articles, unique handicrafts, IDILIQ Foundation merchandise, and personalised mugs.

Lola Sanchís, President of the AECC in Mijas, emphasised the importance of such fundraising events and extended gratitude to the IDILIQ Foundation for its unwavering support.

The event will start and finish at the entrance of San Diego Suites, Avenida Sunset, Urbanización Polarsol, with the route winding through the resort.

Registration is open at www.dorsalchip.es until Friday, October 25th at 11:59 PM, and also available onsite on the day of the event. The entry fee is €10 for adults and €5 for children, with all participants receiving a cap, water, and fruit.
