In recognition of International Breast Cancer Day, the IDILIQ Foundation has relaunched its longstanding internal campaign to support the Spanish Association Against Cancer. For over eight years, this initiative has united IDILIQ Group staff in the fight against breast cancer through research support.
Throughout October, employees from all departments come together for this vital cause. The foundation has once again organised a variety of fundraising activities for employees, customers, and partners. These include charity breakfasts and lunches, raffles, and sports events. “October is our ‘very pink month’ filled with fundraising events. It’s a month of solidarity,” stated Juan Miguel Marcos, president of the Mijeña organisation. On October 16th, the AECC will host a workshop on breast self-examination and information about human papillomavirus.
This year, as a special feature, the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol has introduced a ‘pink room,’ adorned with decorations and AECC items, available to guests throughout the month. Additionally, a special dessert called ‘Pink Lady’ – a delectable mix of sponge cake, cheesecake, and berries – will be offered at the Safari Restaurant, with all proceeds going to the AECC.
Marking its 25th anniversary, the IDILIQ Foundation will resume the III Smile Mile, a family walk scheduled for Sunday 27th October at 11:00am within the complex grounds. The last Smile Mile, held in 2010, was warmly embraced by employees, family, and friends. Post-walk festivities will include awards for the youngest and oldest participants, the most creative costume, entertainment, food, and drinks, and a market area featuring AECC items, IDILIQ Foundation merchandise, and personalised mugs.
Through these efforts, the IDILIQ Foundation once again shows its dedication to aiding those in need, reinforcing its commitment to the community.
