In a show of solidarity on World Breast Cancer Day, approximately 300 employees of the IDILIQ Group donned pink IDILIQ Foundation t-shirts.

Joining them were representatives from the company, the Spanish Association Against Cancer, and Mijas’ mayoress, Ana Mata, along with other officials from the Municipal Corporation and the Fuengirola Town Hall. This annual gathering serves as a central event for the company’s internal fundraising campaign benefiting the AECC throughout October.

Juan Miguel Marcos, President of the IDILIQ Foundation, praised the initiative, stating, “I commend this incredible team that continuously demonstrates immense solidarity. Each pink t-shirt symbolises our dedicated volunteers who contribute their time and effort to ensure our campaign’s success.”

For over eight years, IDILIQ Group has rallied every October to support the fight against breast cancer, mobilising various departments to organise activities focused on raising funds for cancer research.

Mayoress Ana Mata expressed her gratitude towards the staff and volunteers for their crucial work aiding the most vulnerable groups and individuals in the community.

According to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, an estimated 35,312 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed in Spain in 2023, accounting for nearly 30% of cancers in women. It remains the most prevalent cancer and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women in Spain. However, thanks to early detection through screening programs, many cases are being diagnosed at a stage that allows for more effective treatment options.
