The IDILIQ Foundation has donated over 3,000 pairs of glasses to support disadvantaged communities in Africa.
These glasses will be delivered through the Eyedrop project, an initiative launched by Alan Boardman. This January, Alan will travel to Uganda to distribute the glasses to some of the country’s most vulnerable towns and villages.
The success of this initiative is due to the dedication of IDILIQ Foundation volunteers, who organised a collection campaign involving opticians, businesses, and individuals. Several local churches also participated. Hernán Lara, ambassador for the foundation, shared, “This campaign has included opticians from towns like Benalmádena, Mijas, Fuengirola, and Linares. Together, we’ve collected over 3,000 glasses for all ages, ranging from children to adults.”
Melisa Ceballos, Councillor for Volunteering at Mijas Town Council, expressed gratitude for their efforts. She highlighted the importance of supporting those in need, especially during the holiday season, stating, “We can’t forget that many people lack the basic resources we often take for granted.”
The IDILIQ Foundation’s ongoing work reflects its strong commitment to improving the lives of those who need it most while inspiring others to give back to their communities.
