Volunteers from the IDILIQ Foundation have donated over 300 kilos of essential items, including food, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products, to the Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness on the Costa del Sol (Afesol). These donations will be distributed among the organisation’s users and the most vulnerable families in the area.
“We are grateful to the IDILIQ Foundation for including us in this initiative. This donation will go directly to those in our group who need it the most,” said Víctor Manuel Martín, Afesol’s Employment Coordinator.
Juan Miguel Marcos, President of the IDILIQ Foundation, highlighted the importance of helping associations like Afesol, particularly during the Christmas season. “Our volunteers collected food and hygiene products, allowing us to deliver this significant contribution to Afesol. It’s a very joyful day for us,” he shared.
The handover ceremony was attended by Mijas Councillor for Social Inclusion, Melisa Ceballos. She praised Afesol’s tireless work, saying, “Afesol provides tremendous support to individuals with mental health challenges and their families, focusing on care and job placement throughout the year.”
This collaborative effort embodies the spirit of the season, bringing much-needed relief and hope to families in the community.
