Ambassadors and volunteers from the IDILIQ Foundation recently took part in a new coexistence day with Adimi users. This cherished tradition, celebrated for nearly a decade, was brimming with entertainment and joy.
Over the past few days, 45 members of the Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities of Mijas “Virgen de la Peña” joined in the festivities. They enjoyed a delightful breakfast, engaging games, and a host of surprises at the Waves children’s club.
Juan Miguel Marcos, president of the IDILIQ Foundation, expressed the significance of the occasion, stating, “This is a long-awaited visit both for them and for us. Adimi is in our hearts and forms an integral part of this great solidarity movement.”
Cristian López, caretaker of Adimi’s occupational workshops, highlighted the value of these activities, noting, “The kids really enjoy it. It’s a break from their routine that enriches their lives. Getting out of the centre and socialising with new people is essential and deeply beneficial for them.”
Each year, this initiative goes beyond being an annual event; it becomes a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the bonds between the participants and the IDILIQ team. Unforgettable moments, such as the laughter during Bingo or the excitement of karaoke, have created lasting memories for both Adimi users and everyone involved.
