The IDILIQ Foundation has carried out the presentation of its ‘Holidays with Heart’ programme, from Kind Holidays by IDILIQ, at the La Cala de Mijas Town Hall.
The event was attended by representatives of the Municipal Corporation of the Mijas Town Hall, led by its mayoress, Ana Mata, together with ambassadors of the IDILIQ Foundation and different social groups of the province.
The president of the Mijas organisation, Juan Miguel Marcos, took the opportunity to announce that this year, Kind Holidays will give a total of 50 weeks of accommodation to families who are going through a difficult situation. “Our campaign, ‘Holidays with Heart’, consists of offering our collaboration to families who are facing deep emotional and physical difficulties, through free holiday accommodation in some of the IDILIQ Group resorts. It is a charitable initiative that provides a beacon of hope for those going through some of life’s most difficult times. We aim to bring joy and create lasting memories for these families facing immense challenges.”
For her part, the mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata, has valued this action very positively. “One of the many that IDILIQ offers in our municipality to help those who need it most, so we have taken advantage of this meeting here to appeal to that collective contagion and that each of us, each of the sectors, continue to offer that grain of sand, that help, to make life easier for those who, for different circumstances, do not have it so easy.”
The Spanish Cancer Association, Cudeca and the Ronald McDonald Foundation will be the first groups to select the candidate families to spend their idyllic holidays at the Mijas and Tenerife resorts. The choice will consider different factors such as whether the patient has not relapsed for some time or is emotionally overburdened and in need of a getaway.
In 2026, the IDILIQ Foundation aims to increase this donation to 100 weeks of accommodation donated through Kind Holidays.
