IDILIQ Group employees have united once again to mark World Breast Cancer Day. Approximately 200 staff members, wearing pink T-shirts from the IDILIQ Foundation, gathered for a group photograph to display an emotional message: “We take it to heart.” This slogan is the centrepiece of the awareness campaign run by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) throughout October.

The event was attended by representatives from IDILIQ Group and the AECC, alongside members of the Mijas Municipal Corporation and Fuengirola Town Council. It serves as the focal point of an internal fundraising campaign organised by staff during October to support the vital work of the AECC.

The President of the IDILIQ Foundation, Juan Miguel Marcos, commented on the demonstration of solidarity: “We are proud to be part of a team that shows such strong social commitment every day. This is especially true in October, when we channel our collective efforts and enthusiasm towards supporting breast cancer research.”

This initiative underscores the dedication of every department within the company, which has organised a series of charitable activities to raise as much money as possible for the AECC.

According to the Spanish Association Against Cancer Observatory, approximately 35,875 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in Spain in 2024, accounting for nearly 29% of all cancers diagnosed in women.

The incidence of breast cancer has risen in recent years, influenced by factors such as population growth, ageing, changes in reproductive habits, and sedentary lifestyles. It remains the leading cause of cancer death among women.
