For many years, the IDILIQ Foundation has worked closely with the Association of Families and People with Mental Illness on the Costa del Sol (Afesol Salud Mental). This non-profit organisation is dedicated to promoting initiatives that enhance the quality of life for individuals with mental illness and their families.
AFESOL is now in the final stages of establishing a Residential Care and Day Centre in Mijas for people with mental health challenges. This much-anticipated project, welcomed by users, families, and professionals alike, represents a significant step forward in community care and the well-being of those affected.
To support this vital initiative, the IDILIQ Foundation has donated furniture and essential equipment to help meet the centre’s needs. Located in Mijas, the facility will provide residential accommodation for individuals with severe mental health conditions who require a supportive environment and professional assistance in their journey towards recovery and independence. Additionally, the centre will include a Day Centre service, designed to foster social integration, develop life skills, and encourage active participation in the community.
Through this contribution, the IDILIQ Foundation reaffirms its commitment to supporting individuals with mental illness and addressing the needs of this community on the Costa del Sol.
