Over 100 people attended the charity lunch organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Mijas at El Torreón Restaurant.
This was the first official event hosted by the local council, bringing together the IDILIQ Foundation, residents, organisations, and government representatives to support cancer research and improve patient care.
The event coincided with the celebration of Fundraising Day, under the slogan, ‘When you stop, we move against cancer.’ Pausing to drop a few coins into collection boxes may seem like a small gesture, but it makes a significant difference in the fight against this disease.
For over 50 years, the AECC has been leading cancer research in Spain, while also providing round-the-clock support to patients and their families. In 2025 alone, the organisation assisted more than 170,000 people across the country.
