The Cudeca Foundation marks a significant step forward in paediatric palliative care with the launch of its new Pediatric Day Unit – a pioneering resource offering specialised, personalised and multidisciplinary care to children and young people with complex chronic conditions, advanced-stage illnesses or palliative needs.
The unit complements the paediatric home-care programme that Cudeca runs in collaboration with the Málaga Maternal and Child Hospital. In addition to the clinical care and psychosocial support already provided by the foundation, the service incorporates new therapies aimed at improving patients’ quality of life.
At the inauguration, Cudeca expressed its gratitude to the IDILIQ Foundation for its unwavering support, particularly through the “Kind Holidays by IDILIQ” programme. The initiative has enabled the unit’s patients and their families to enjoy “Holidays with Heart” – an experience that fulfils the wishes of these children, offering them a welcome break from daily routines and the chance to create unforgettable memories.
